Thoodhu the Boardgame - Learning Tamil through Play

Thoodhu is a fast-paced Tamil word clue board game that makes language learning fun through play. Inspired by the era of Rajaraja Cholan, the game challenges players to explore the hidden meanings of words, think creatively, and use strategic clues to help their team guess secret words.

Players divide into two teams: Pigeons (Pura) and Eagles (Parunthu). In each round, the Pigeon team draws a secret word and writes strategic one-word Tamil clues to help their Commander identify it. Meanwhile, the Eagle team tries to predict and write matching clues. Any clue written by both teams is cancelled, leaving the Commander to work with only the remaining clues.

Teams take turns playing the different roles each round. The first team to score 15 or more points after an equal number of Pigeon rounds wins the prestigious Gnana Modhiram (Ring of Wisdom).
