Augmenting baby sleep to be better and more effective
New-born babies need approx. 16 of sleep each day. But many a times this is not the case due to various factors and this leaves both parents and babies frustrated. Ensuring the babies have a good night-time sleep and having it as a pattern and habit is a very important.
We have a few tips that can help you to achieve the above:
First thing to note that in mother’s womb the baby used to sleep, play and be awake as it wanted. But once they are born as there is day/ night, availability etc., they need time, practice to adapt to this.
Wet Diaper:
One of the primary reasons’ babies might be crying/ woken up is due to wet diaper. Ensure diapers are changed just before and check it constantly to make sure it’s not wet.
Sleep Pattern:
Note the time baby is waking up/ awake and when it shows signs of sleepiness like rubbing of the eyes, getting fussy, drowsy etc. Most of the time, new-borns will not be awake for more than a hour at a stretch.

HOW ORGANIC FOOD IS HEALTHY and NECESSARY FOR CHILDREN
Primary reason why organic/ naturally grown food is necessary and essential for children is that it helps them develop and understand the taste of actual food. It helps in children to develop various flavours, tastes and contrast.
Below are some ways you can help get kids to like and appreciate organic food:
Its necessary to give children organic food from beginning:
- Organic foods do not have added preservatives and food colours, which might be harmful and many a time linked to reactions in some sensitive children.
- Organic food do not have any pesticides or chemical fertilizer which is most important if we are thoughtful of these going into our children’s bodies.
- As per research, Pesticides and Fertilizers have been said to have a variety of adverse/ side effects in children. Non-organic food is host to a high amount of these.

Pretend Play – How is it Important and Enhances Child’s ImaginationPretend Play, role playing, Symbolic play, imagine and play - It’s called by different names, but they all mean the same and have numerous and important benefits for kids.
Pretend Play means the child would be representing, copying and being the object/ person he/ she wishes to be or should be.
For Example: Role play being a mummy or daddy; Imagining and playing like a chef and prepare variety of dishes/ run a restaurant
Pretend Play is a skill/ thought development skill/ activity. Here the child has to imagine, understand and play the appropriate character along with emotions/ actions of the same.
E.g.: if there child is a chef, he/ she would have to know “what’s for menu”, here is the price, how to prepare a burger, etc.
This will need the child to understand the character, role and actions of the role. Role playing in a group is even more difficult and challenging especially for younger kids. Here they learn different

Common Baby - Related Concerns of the New MotherBeing a mother comes with its challenges. New moms feel that they are not looking the right way even when they are taking good care of their children!
Parenting is not that easy as the Parenting books sound.
1. Can I become a better parent?
One of the common concerns of new parents - especially new moms - is whether they face parenting challenges. Given the exceptionally high standards of motherhood in society, there is good reason to fear new moms.
2. Constant Crying
Why is my baby crying?!?! This is what they do! It is their only way of communicating and if you listen closely, they will cry differently for different reasons (hungry, sick, cold, wet, lonely, worried). Once you understand what each crying means, you can comfort your baby quickly.
If your baby is inconsolable, you can ask your pediatrician about colic. Colic can be one of the reasons. Colic is usually a symptom of pain in the gut which causes disturbances in the stomach.
