Giving birth to a new life is just an amazing feeling and a tiresome job. At this stage, you will definitely  need help. Specifically, after going home with your little one, you won't be able to understand what to  do and how to do.

These are few tips which will help you:

Help after delivery:

You can take help during this time, as it is hectic and tiresome. During your hospital stay, you can get it  from experts (doctors, nurse, and lactation specialists). At home, relatives and friends often want to  help too. Even if you are not ready for a few things, do consider their help.

Newborn Baby Care:

Before handling a newborn baby, one should be clean (wash hands), otherwise, they can catch-up  infections, due to their low immunity.

When carrying a baby in your hands, ensure you are supporting his/her neck and back. Also, it is too  early to shake the baby and throw in the air.

Mother hugs Baby

Getting close physically can buildup emotional bonding with the baby. Ensure there is skin-to-skin  contact to build an emotional relationship with the baby. You can refer to certain infant massaging  videos or can talk to your doctor regarding the massaging and bathing issues.

Try talking, singing, reciting poems, or play musical sounds before the baby. It stimulates their hearing  and makes a fussy baby calm down.

Try swaddling your baby (only up to the age of 2 months), not only to keep them warm but to make  them feel secured and comfortable. There are many videos available on the internet to make you learn  how to swaddle.

Diapering Facts:

As a parent, you already have an idea to use diapers or cloth for the little one. Whatever it is, make sure  you keep everything ready (within reach), to avoid leaving a baby unattended.

Whenever you change the diaper, make sure you clean the genital area to protect the baby's skin from  any infection. Diaper rash (red or bumpy skin) is common among babies, which can be due to their  sensitive skin or a poopy diaper.

To prevent or heal a rash, apply ointment. Always remember to wash your hands thoroughly after  changing a diaper.

If the diaper rash doesn't subside in 3 days or seems to be getting worse, call your doctor.

All about Bathing:

Give your baby a sponge bath until his/her umbilical cord falls off.

Bathing Baby and Mother joy

Use a soft cloth dipped in some warm water and gently wipes the whole body of the baby. You can a  mild baby shampoo to wash your baby's head and rinse. Concentrate on the areas under the arms, ears,  around the neck, and in the private part area. After this, you can dress up the baby.

Feeding and Burping

You need to feed your new little once every 2-3 hours. Babies may cry by keeping their fingers in their  mouths and making sucking noises. They should be awakened every few hours and should be given  feeding.

Sleeping baby

You need to monitor your baby's feed. The number of wet diapers (if breast-fedded:6 wet diapers per  day and several numbers of stools) will indicate if the feed is enough for your baby.

Babies often swallow air while feeding. Another important thing to remember is BURPING your baby. If  your baby tends to be gassy or seems fussy during feeding, try burping your little one at regular intervals  during the feed.

Try a few burping videos to know more about it.

It is all common; few babies stay active during nights and few during the day. Even if you feel anxious  about handling the newborn, in a few short weeks you will develop a routine and have children like Pro!  If you have questions or problems, ask your doctor to recommend resources that will help you and your  baby grow together.
